My daughter and I are watching sappy shows and we love them. Ann of Green Gables was on for three Sundays in a row (the whole series) and my daughter and I sat and watched the whole thing. Today there is another sappy show about a widow and a cowboy, and of course, we are hanging on every word.

It's raining out. The sky is gray. There is nothing to do but watch sappy TV shows and drink green tea.

What are the sappy shows you love the best?

Ohh, anything Shirley Temple. Every once in a while, one of the classic movie stations runs a marathon, and Heather and I sit on my bed with popcorn or treats and lose ourselves in movies like "Bright Eyes", "Poor Little Rich Girl", or "Heidi". I love those days :)

I sappy show I watched for awhile was
Monarch of the Glen. I really enjoyed it until after Archie (the Dad) was eliminated from the series by writing in his death, and Katrina (the blond neighbor and girlfriend) leaving the series as well. I most often can not stand what's on TV series at night, but this series set in Scotland was enjoyable for a few years. I see on it's site it's ending soon - likely running out of plot ideas.
